What is SDFC Cares?
SDFC Cares is the flagship program through which Sun Devil Family Charities provides financial assistance to qualified applicants. Individuals and their immediate families who have an affiliation with Arizona State University and are facing financial hardship due to a serious health or medical condition are encouraged to submit an application.
Application Process
Step 1
Obtain verification of ASU affiliation:
- Current students and alumni call the Registrar’s office 480-965-3124
- Current employees call the Office of Human Resources 480-965-2701
- Retired employees call the Office of Human Resources 480-993-0008
Step 2
Gather receipts or billing statements to be submitted
Step 3

PLEASE NOTE: Verification of ASU affiliation, along with receipts or billing statements for the out-of-pocket expenses you are requesting assistance with MUST be submitted along with the application in order to be considered.
All complete applications are directed to the Patient Services Committee (PSC) where they are reviewed for conformity with eligibility requirements and a determination regarding funding is made.
All approved applications will be reviewed with the understanding that every effort will be made by the applicant to secure available community resources to cover essential needs and out-of-pocket medical expenses.
